Townhouse Accommodation with a difference

Number 34 - twin bedroom The house, part Georgian, part Elizabethan, set among the antique shops in the old quarter of Barnard Castle, has a chequered history: a hatter's shop whose owner wasn't mad but ended up in Durham Jail, a pub that the locals nicknamed 'The Bucket of Blood' and, until recently, an antique shop.

Number 34 - dining room The rooms are full of antiques, books and little touches. The bedrooms offer TVs, bathrobes, decanters of sherry and the opportunity to switch off.

Come, stay and relax - as one of our guests put it.....'This place has that magic touch'.
